Dr Richard Skyers

My son Basil Skyers died from the blood cancer multiple myeloma in 2010. My daughter Dr Sophia Skyers established the Basil Skyers Myeloma Foundation in his memory in 2011. 

The Foundation aims to raise awareness of multiple myeloma and provides practical support for patients, carers, and their families through the provision of financial grants. The grants are administered by the Nottingham based FOREVER NOTTS Community Foundation to NHS Trusts, Charities, and Maggie's Centres across England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland.
